Fruits or Vegetables that are colors such as Purple often have high anti-oxidant properties. But Anti-oxidants are found in other substances not commonly consumed such as Grape Seed Extract, which for instance is upto 50 times as powerful than more commonly known and used anti-oxidants like Vitamin C. Completely agree, keeping a wide variety of food and nutrition is a great thing.

Well done to you!! Sorry for the delay in reply, i've been away for a few days!

It's difficult to say whether this would affect the baby. However, all of the guidelines recommend at least 5-a-day for fruit and vegetables, pre and post pregnancy, and more if at all possible.

Obviously, pregnancy and lactation place major demands on the body. To meet these demands the body needs good nutrition to stay energetic and to enable mother and baby to be as healthy as possible. One way we can do this is by eating a balanced diet, including plenty of fruit and vegetables.

So, it is really essential that women receive optimum nutrition, and as a result baby will then receive all of the nutrients required for growth and development.

This means I'm a 1 in 7 type of person! Hooray for me!

Also, if someone whose nursing a baby didn't eat any vegetables (or like 1 every couple of days). Do you think this would affect the baby? Just curious.
