Chest Pain – Doubt Kills!

Thursday 19th July is Chest Pain Awareness Day

The symptoms of a heart attack can vary slightly from person to person. They range from a severe pain in the centre of the chest, to having mild chest discomfort, making you feel generally unwell.

The BHF warn that too many people waste time doubting their symptoms and wondering whether they should call an ambulance. If you do experience chest pain, this is bodies way of saying call 999!

The BHF have produced this wonderful podcast below, to help increase our awareness of the symptoms of chest pain, and provide a few tips on what to do if we, or someone else in our family, experience them.

By calling 999 straight away you could protect your heart from serious damage, and save your life. Every second counts.
