I don't have any experience with it personally, however from what I've read previously I don't like it! They use a kind of 'sergeant major' style talk, which I don't find useful, maybe it depends on your personality, but it's definitely not my style!

Basically it encourages a vegan diet - no dairy foods, eggs, meat or fish. The first time I heard about the book was when Victoria Beckham was pictured carrying it around, and it's become very popular since!

I've had a few people talking to me about the Skinny Bitch book. I haven't seen it locally, but a few bloggers and readers have mentioned it. Do you have any experience?

Hi Kathryn - yes I like this type of approach too, so much of the popular 'diets' today are focused on removing important foods, or groups of food, which is very restrictive, and impossible to stick with!

Whatever will they come up with next??

Good tip Melanie. I use this with clients and find it often helps them enormously. I like this idea, because it's a positive approach to diet change. It's about concentrating on the foods you can eat, rather than banning foods - which is rarely helpful.

Most people find, by the time they've eaten the piece of fruit or vegetable snack, they don't need the chocolate.

Or, as you say, at the very least they eat less of it.
