17 Ways to Make Yourself LOVE Exercise!

Is it possible to love exercise, even when you hate it?

I really admire people who are completely committed to exercise at all costs - this is where I want to get to myself, and preferably it would be better if I began to love exercise, rather than just feeling that I have to do it.

So, for those of us who struggle with flagging motivation, here are a few suggestions:

#1 Take it slowly - don’t get too overwhelmed by the thought of exercise. It’s best to begin slowly, by starting with 10 minutes each day, building up to perhaps 30-40 minutes at a time. Check out A Bit by Bit Approach to Exercise.

Ever wondered just how much damage smoking is doing, not only to your health, but also your skin?

The most serious damage to skin is caused by:

#1 Restricted blood flow through the capilliaries (tiny veins near the skins surface) preventing oxygen and nutrients getting to the skin.

#2 Increased production of an enzyme which breaks down the supply of collagen to the skin’s structure. Collagen supply is vital to the skin’s elasticity. It decreases with age, but smoking cigarettes accelerates this process.

Get Rid of Emotional Eating Once and For All

Emotional eating is a bigger problem than most of us realise.

Have you ever experienced a craving for certain foods when you’ve been angry, sad, or stressed? This is emotional eating.

Many people when they’re at their weakest point emotionally, they can find themselves turning to food as a way to overcome negative emotions.

Unfortunately, this emotional rollercoaster can lead to unhealthy eating, that does little to provide your mind and body with the nutrients it needs to survive.

The good news is it’s not impossible to regain control of your eating habits.

Keeping a Food Diary Can Double Weight Loss

I often hear people commenting that they simply can’t lose weight.

However, a new study indicates that most people can in fact lose weight, if they have access to the right tools and support.

The study, conducted at the Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Health Research, suggests that food journalling, in conjunction with a weight management program, is the ideal combination of tools and support.

10 Simple Snacks for Busy Travellers

If you find yourself travelling considerably each week, healthy eating can be challenging!

So, rather than relying on greasy roadside diners for nutrition, why not pack your car with a variety of nutritious foods?

Here are a few suggestions:

#1 Fruit - freeze grapes or berries the night prior to your journey to have as a cool snack.

#2 Vegetables - sliced raw veg such as carrots, peppers, broccoli, or green beans.
