Have you been struggling to change bad habits?
Do you aim for the stars, but end up falling flat on your face?
Having goals is really important, so dreaming big is necessary, but you need to break your goals down into small, manageable chunks.
By doing this, although it may appear slow, you will find success in the end.
So, for example if weight loss is your goal, thinking of it pound by pound, rather than focusing on the total amount of weight you need to lose, is a better way to achieve success.
Today’s challenge is to spend 10 minutes focusing on your goals
Although 10 minutes can seem like an insignificant amount of time, if you were to exercise this rule every day in life, I’m sure you can see how powerful it could be.
Here are 4 ways to use 10 minutes to change your life:
#1 Choose something you want to improve in your life, for example your weight, eating habits, or time management skills.
#2 Apply 10 minutes per day towards achieving this goal, or learning more about your subject.
#3 Don’t get too complicated, simple ideas are best!
#4 Do this every day for 5 days, and see how much closer you are to your goal, or how much you’ve been able to learn in a short time.
Here are a few ways you could spend your 10 minutes:
Goal: eat healthy – learn what a healthy diet is, get healthy recipes to try out, read books and magazines on eating well, ask others what works for them.
Goal: improved sleep – learn how sleep impacts your health, learn sleep hygiene techniques, read blogs and books to improve your knowledge.
Goal: make exercise fun – purchase an exercise DVD, read fitness magazines and books, talk to a personal trainer, search for 10 minute workouts online.
Goal: reduce stress levels – read books and websites on how to reduce your stress levels, listen to a relaxation tape, concentrate on breathing exercises, read a comic book.
Remember, consistency is absolutely essential if this principle is to work.
How will you use 10 minutes today to improve your health?
