5 Ways To Add The Joy of Cooking Recipes!

Do you enjoy cooking recipes?

While we can’t all be ‘master chefs’ each of us certainly can learn to russle up something in the kitchen, whether it’s a mean scrambled eggs on toast, or steak Mignon!

With a little knowledge and practice you can easily prepare great tasting, nutritious food night after night.

Today’s challenge is to get into the kitchen and enjoy the experience!

5 ways to have more fun in the kitchen:

#1 Don’t worry about mistakes – so something goes wrong? So what! Learn from the mistakes you make, and keep practising! We’ve all had our ups and downs in the kitchen…stick with it!

#2 Master one skill at a time – if cooking is pretty new to you, take it one step at a time. Don’t attempt a three course meal, or the most complicated recipe in the cookbook initially.

But, do experiment. Get cooking magazines, books, watch tv shows, and online classes. There’s lots of info out there, so have a blast!

#3 Think ahead – it’s very difficult to prepare a meal with no ingredients in the kitchen, so plan your meals ahead of time, and make sure you have everything you need before you begin cooking.

#4 Buy one really good reference cookbook – use it when menu planning to help you come up with new ideas. If you find recipes you really love/ hate/ would do something different with next time, mark it in your cookbook so that you remember when you go to cook again.

#5 Add a little creativity – why not try to capture the ambiance of your favourite restaurant? Adjust the lighting, or light a few candles, put on your favourite music – enjoy the experience from the kitchen, right through to the dinner table!

Do you enjoy cooking? How will you make cooking more enjoyable in your kitchen today?

I love to cook (and my wife loves that I love to cook). I usually just like to create stuff with out a recipe. My wife tells me it’s good and I like it so it works out! Great ideas, thanks!
