Hi Nathan,
What a great testament to how beneficial exercise is. I'm glad you enjoy the blog!! :-)

Hi Cathy,
Inspirational thoughts! It's very true that stress is an individual thing, and great that you've been able to deal with it so effectively!

Hey Blake,
I totally agree - I find stress is busted with exercise, even a short walk can be enough to clear my mind.

my best stress-killer is exercise. A nice run, bike, or swim usually does the trick for me. Clears my mind and I just feel much better.

too much stress is a 'killer' but we all need a bit of stress to keep the whole world for us turning over. Stress of course, can get out of hand....but stress that is managed is a little like negativity which can give us options for achievement/success and so on.

Stress is individual as well....what you might deem 'stress' I may see it as only another 'opportunity' and so on.

Between 1990-2004 my health was in a very sorrry, sorry state and I spend as much time as possible being stress-free i.e. there was enough stress with coping with my health without adding other stressors....so anything that was looking like it might create extra stress was smartly dealt with.

Since 2004 health issues have better managed due to a huge change in the diagnosis....I still try to deal with stress in a pronto way :-)

One night I was stressed and up until late (or early... depending on which day you go by). I finally fell asleep and woke feeling drowsy. I debated if I should go to my yoga class or utilize the time to catch up on sleep.

I forced myself to yoga and was really surprised! Not only did I feel less stress that day, but I also felt relaxed and ready for bed that night! Exercise and doing something physical always helps!

I enjoy your blog :).
