6 Ways to Deliverance for a Junk Food Junkie!

Christmas often brings out the junk food junkie in us all.

The problem is, some people don’t stop at Christmas. They’re junk food junkies all year round, eating little real food through each day.

Real food? Isn’t all food real?

Well, that depends on your definition of food!

For me, if the so-called food comes with a list of 25 ingredients, and non-descriptives on the label, it’s not ‘real’ food!

What some people call food these days is what I’d call “stuff!

Really, I’m not even sure what it is…perhaps it looks edible, but it’s processed beyond recognition, then coloured, enriched, and laden with sugar, salt, and preservatives…so it can’t possibly be real!

Today’s challenge is to eat real food

If you want to be healthy, and benefit from what you’re putting into your body, you need to cut most, if not all, the junk from you diet, and eat food that is as close to its original, whole form, as possible.

Here are 6 ways to eat more real foods:

  1. Eat minimally processed foods such as rice, beans, lentils, potatoes, yams, oats, quinoa etc.
  2. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies in their raw or lightly cooked form.
  3. Choose raw nuts, avocado, and natural nut butters for a healthy dose of fat.
  4. Go for lean meats, poultry and fish straight from your butchers counter, rather than something that’s covered in batter and presented in a box!
  5. Avoid sugar laden drinks of any description, particularly if high-fructose corn syrup is listed in the ingredients. Choose water instead.
  6. Snack on fruit, nuts, and seeds rather than potato chips and candy.

Diet and exercise are still the best and safest ways to lose weight. Another way is to photoshop yourself . Viola! Instant weight loss.

Hey Tiny Dancer,
LOL yes I like the instant weigth loss idea!! In fact, I think it could be really useful, as long as it’s still realistic (no airbrushing, right??), it could be a great way of staying motivated to lose weight!
