7 Ways You Can Encourage Your Friends to be Healthy

Are you endeavoring to follow a healthy lifestyle?

If you are, you’re already a role model to those around you who are struggling to improve their health.

I’m sure you’ve heard it said that the best way to learn something, is to teach it.

So, if you want continue on the path to better health, perhaps helping those around you to be healthier would be beneficial both for you and them.

Todays challenge is to encourage your friends to be healthier

As you work towards a healthier way of life, how can you encourage those around you to be healthier?

Now, I don’t mean that you should preach or nagg them, but perhaps you could make a subtle hint, or ask them to workout with you.

Not only will you be helping the people closest to you, but it will give you extra motivation to stick with what you’re already doing – you know people are looking up to you for inspiration!

Try to be a good role model for your children, your partner, your co-workers, and other family members.

Here are 7 ways you can be an inspiration to others:

#1 By choosing to eat healthy food – they will notice!

#2 By exercising consistently each week

#3 By asking them to join you at your weekly exercise class

#4 By talking about how good you feel now

#5 By showing them how to cook a healthy meal

#6 By not smoking or drinking too much alcohol

#7 By linking them up to blogs like Dietriffic.com ;-)

    Hi Melanie – These are all great tips. I’ve noticed if I’m eating something “healthy” and my husband sees it, he’ll often taste it and say, “I’ll have some of that”. Making things look appetizing works every time.

    That’s a great point.

    I can remember one of my first cooking demos at uni, we were asked to make a healthy meal. Unfortunately I focused too much on choosing healthy ingredients, that I completely forgot to think about what it would look like on the plate! It tasted fine, but it was bland looking, and definitely not the best meal in the room…quite embarrasing really!

    Anyway, it was a good lesson learned!
