Although there are lots of delicious low fat recipes out there, very often we prefer to stick with our family favourites.
Thankfully though, making your favourite meals healthier isn’t all that difficult.
You can modify most recipes simply by reducing the amount of fat, salt and sugar they contain, and increasing the fibre content.

The main thing to consider is the overall balance of your meals, it is possible to eat some foods that are higher in fat and sugar, and still be eating a healthy diet, just keep a check on your portion size.

Christmas often brings out the junk food junkie in us all.
The problem is, some people don’t stop at Christmas. They’re junk food junkies all year round, eating little real food through each day.
Real food? Isn’t all food real?
Well, that depends on your definition of food!
For me, if the so-called food comes with a list of 25 ingredients, and non-descriptives on the label, it’s not ‘real’ food!
What some people call food these days is what I’d call “stuff!”
Really, I’m not even sure what it is…perhaps it looks edible, but it’s processed beyond recognition, then coloured, enriched, and laden with sugar, salt, and preservatives…so it can’t possibly be real!
