Little Elissa
Howdy all!
I’m Armen, Melanie’s husband.
At 18:45 on Oct 13, 2009, Melanie gave birth to our first child; a beautiful, healthy baby girl weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces.
She’s called, Elissa.
Both Melanie and Elissa are doing really well. She probably wouldn’t tell you this, but I can tell you that Melanie’s habitual healthy eating and exercise routine, though very simple, has paid off!
I don’t know if she’ll ever share her pregnancy and labour experience, but she was so well prepared she did amazing through the whole thing! I couldn’t believe my eyes!!
Anyway, I just thought I’d let you know.
Would you do something for me?
Melanie has absolutely no idea I’ve written this. But, I was thinking it might be nice to do.
I was thinking it would be nice to hear from you. I dunno, maybe wish her well in this new adventure of being a mum, or thanking her for what she does here, or whatever.
I just imagine it would be really encouraging for her to see how much she’s appreciated by you, so that when she’s out of hospital and comes home, it’ll just be like an unexpected present waiting for her at home from you 
So go on. Leave a little comment, and say hello to Elissa, too!
P.S. Melanie wouldn’t let me take our camera home, so the above is a photo taken from my phone just a couple of hours after delivery.

Congrats Mel and Arman! I still remember the birth of my daughter two years ago and how awesome my wife did during labor. I’m sure you two will do just fine.
Remember, the late night feedings won’t last forever so take comfort knowing that a full nights rest is only a year or two away
The best investment we purchased for our daughter was a video baby monitor so we can watch and listen to our baby all night. It’s been two years and we still use it!

How wonderful. Life will be so much more exciting. Your little girl is beautiful. Only advice I can give you is Sleep when she sleeps, take help from others – it is a priveledge for them to help you out at this time; lastly use your instinct-everyone will give you advice on what to do. God gave you motherly instinct so you can do the right thing. Trust yourself. Its okay if you don’t do things exactly like your mom/mom in law did.
Daddy, enjoy your girl. Just remember she will always look up to you no matter how old she gets; even after she is married and with children.

Congratulations on your new baby girl!!! She is absolutely beautiful!!! I hope you enjoy each and every exciting moment she will most definitely bring you and your husband! The only advice I can give (though I don’t have children of my own, but through my mother’s experience) is when she needs her space, give it to her, don’t constrain her, let her make her mistakes as she will regardless of what you say (if you do she will stray) but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS listen to what she has to say… the more you do the more she will come to you!!! And THAT is the most precious gift you can get… a child that WANTS to have a relationship with you!!! Good luck!!!

Elissa and I are now enjoying life at home with dad (who I should say is indeed very sneaky for doing this on my blog, but it’s so special, and your comments really do mean so much to me–so thank you hun!!!)
