It’s now 3 months since Elissa came into the world, and I’m so glad breastfeeding has worked out for us.
It’s certainly taken a lot of hard work and dedication to the cause. But, it’s also been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Something I’ve learnt is that when you breastfeed, you need to be prepared for others to voice their opinions on what you’re doing.
Perhaps this is one of the reasons breastfeeding rates are so low, I’m not sure!

During the sermon at church on Sunday, our visiting preacher from America, began telling us about his struggles with weight loss, and how he has recently lost 40 pounds.
I can remember him visiting Northern Ireland before, and I have to say he certainly looks a lot healthier now — indeed his weight loss suits him very well.
He commented on how his weight has always been something he battled with, having tried and failed with many diets in the past (sound familiar, eh?)
