What a great project and what an exciting result! I would love to have a copy of the Healthy Eating Handbook.
I have been struggeling with weight issues all my life. From very early years I have been highly obese and tried one diet after the other. I have finally arrived at a normal weight but keep going through weeks of uncontrollable eating followed by weeks of radical 500kcal diets. I have to get my life back in order and desperately need some help. Your book could finally help me understand what it takes to eat healthily. Please help.

Hi Melanie:
Love your website, thanks for all you do. Your handbook would be a fantastic tool to help many. Our whole family has weight issues. Most of all I believe it would help me on this journey of chronic illness. I have pulmonary arterial hypertension (high pressure in the lungs) secondary to scleroderma. You get short of breathe and easily tire. Healthy nutrition and light to moderate exercise are paramount to managing chronic disease. Would definitely share with other members of our PH support group. Thank you for this consideration.

For the past 20 years I have struggled to lose weight. I literally have tried everything with the same result–initial weight loss then gaining it all back. I have made peace with my body and now just want to eat healthy. The problem is, I no longer know what a balanced healthy meal looks like. I have turned to the internet to try and re-learn what normal healthy eating is. Dietriffic’s Healthy Eating Guide will be instrumental in my journey to be healthy and love life.

I am 57 years old and have been overweight since I started having children 35 years ago. My husband left me this year, and I thought that as part of becoming a better person, I would take my health into my own hands. I have lost 35 pounds, am doing yoga and riding my bicycle, but I really am not eating that healthily yet, and could use your guide to further educate myself to make this my HEALTHIEST year ever, foundation for my healthiest life ever.

I am 34 years old and am the heaviest I have ever been. I desperately want to lose weight, but I have no idea where to begin. I have a lot of really bad habits when it comes to eating (overeating, out of control portions, snacking, and my real nemesis, emotional eating) I also eat a lot of junk food and processed food. At this point, healthy eating seems impossible. I have spent so much money on diet books. But I have yet to find one that makes me say “Okay, I can do this!” I would like a copy of your book in order to gain some direction and guidance about healthy eating.

hi,
You book sounds very interesting.
I’m 20Kg overweight. I “know” about healthy eating in theory, but with hectic work, I do not have enough time to cook. A practical book would be great, specially with the workbook and planner.
Thank you for thinking of this.

Twelve years ago, I had my last child while I had gestational diabetes which was controlled via diet. Six weeks after giving birth, I weigh 135 pounds. That was 30 pounds less than when I got pregnant. At 5′ 6″, that was a great weight for me. In the subsequent 12 years, I have eaten my way up to 210 pounds. I have recently found out that my C-Reactive protein level is way elevated as well as psoriasis and the arthritis that can go along with that. My LDL and HDL numbers need to switch positions and my blood pressure is now consistently 137/87. I will be going in for blood tests next week and will find out if I have finally managed to eat my way into diabetes. I am proud of none of this. I could really use some help and encouragement to get myself healthy so I am around for many years to come. Your New Healthy Living Guide could be very useful to me.

Hiya – I have started to lose weight, have joined a gym and eating healthily, but this book looks to offer a way to avoid my particular downfall – lack of organisation! I find that if my menu is not organised it becomes difficult to make sure that I am eating the right amounts of the right foods. I think having the right tools is so important to success in most things, weight loss and a healthy lifestyle included, I mean, why make it harder than it needs to be?

I am learning all I can to be proactive for my health in areas that I can control . I have several serious health problems. Nutritional difficiencies impact my body due to my not having a colon. I have only a small intestine; this has resulted in my having malabsorbtion. The more I learn the better I can prepare for my own nutrition, and that of my husband. We both need to greatly increase how many fruits and vegetables we consume daily. Dietrific’s book “The Healthy Eating Guide” would be a highly useful tool towards reaching these important goals.

Hey Melanie – first let me say I really appreciate your positive attitude and continued encouragement. I just recently quit WW because the online diet program was a nightmare to try and follow, and the shop nearest me doesn’t have meeting times I can make. Every time I popped into one of the chat rooms it seemed some 1 was excited and everyone else was carping.
My 16 year old daughter and I are both obese. It breaks my heart for her because she is beautiful inside and out. I feel responsible for her poor eating habits and well, I am sick and tired of awarding myself worst mom of the year! I really want to break out of the mindset that says we are stuck here!
Heredity has taken over and I’m ready to tell Heredity that we have a slim athletic side to our genes! I feel your book would give us something positive to focus on as we step up to the challenge of changing our eating and moving lifestyle!
Thanks for the opportunity, Peace, Jamie

Hi Melanie!
First of all thank you for making a difference through your fab site!
I would really appreciate a copy of your new Healthy Eating Handbook. As a busy working mum of 2 kids, I struggle to make the right eating choices even though I am convinced of their benefits. Your book will not only help me to set the good eating habits for the entire family, but it will also help me educate my children and impart good eating habits in them while they are still small. I want my children to grow up with good eating habits amongst other values.
Thank you,
Regards,
Kiran

Hi Melanie
I would really love a copy of your new Healthy Eating Handbook as I am going on the journey of changing my lifestyle to eat better and exercise more not only to lose the weight I need to but I have also decided to take it one step further and have now enrolled to undertake the necessary qualifications to become a personal trainer so I can help others like me who are struggling with losing weight and to help them learn to eat healthy and exercise. This book would help me that one step further in my learning of eating right.

Being a lady who’s always struggling with weight issues and body image problems, this book would really help me clear my doubts about what healthy eating really is and teach my family and myself more about how to be healthy and eventually achieve a positive body image and allow me to stop having a low self-esteem and also boosting my confindence in myself.

Hello—
I have been out of work for eighteen months. Being quite down, I have had more than my share of fish and chips, pizza and many, many pints of the foamy. One morning, got up, said enough is enough, starting eating oatmeal for breakfast, home made soups and tons of salads. I have done a bit of walking and in five weeks, I have dropped 21 pounds. 60 more pounds to go. Any help you could offer me would be appreciated.

Hi Melanie,
I have become only a recent subscriber to your newsletter and I love your practical advices and more so, that you take the trouble to reach out to us on what issues we are facing and how we can tackle them.
I am a full time working mom to 2 kids, and through some on-and-off exercising, I am now at a decent weight. But I have been in a plateau for the last 7 months, and just am unable to kick off the last 15 pounds. I am really looking for tips and tricks that will help me reach the target and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. Since time is a constraint, if there are practical ideas out there that can be incorporated for the entire family, that would be so welcome!!
I would love to receive a copy of this Handbook; it sounds exciting and just what I need now!
