TLC Plan From Activia

TLC Plan

I’m a huge fan of probiotic yogurts, in fact, they are the only yogurts I buy.

Probiotics are the “good” type of bacteria, which help maintain the balance within your body. You can add probiotics to your diet through foods like yogurt, fermented and unfermented milk, miso, and some juices and soy drinks.

When you are buying these products, check out the nutrition label, and look for statements like contains live or active cultures.

When I was asked recently to try out Activia’s new online TLC Plan, I was more than happy to take a look. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to complete the plan day to day. However, I did check out the fab TLC website, and reacquainted myself with Activia’s product range.

I was immidiately struck by how bright and colorful the website looks, and how easy it is to nagivate.

The website is full of great ideas, and I like how there are three experts available to help you out — a nutrition expert, a lifestyle expert, and a fitness expert.

The nice thing about the TLC Plan is that it is tailored to you personally, rather than being a one-size-fits-all plan. I also like how it keeps track of your progress and how your energy levels are, etc., and provides simple exercise tips, and meal suggestions accordingly.

Obviously, you need to log in regularly to make use of this function, but it’s a nice touch, and I can see that it would be helpful.

And, if you’re into social media, you can also comment, rate or share lifestyle tips, recipes or fitness ideas through Facebook and Twitter.

The recipe suggestions look delicious, and there are some really great suggestions. I love the mushroom and rocket risotto idea, made with a pot of Activia Intensely Creamy Velvety Vanilla Yogurt… I certainly wouldn’t have thought about using this yogurt in a savory dish.

Here is the new TV ad…

Something I’m going to buy next time I’m at the supermarket, is the Activia Pouring Yoghurt… how awesome!

Are you into probiotics yogurts? What are your favorites?

Probiotics are definitly a big deal these days. I do not like yogurt though but my wife sure does and claims that Activa is the best yogurt out these in taste.

Kinda off topic though my wife also eats Greek yogurt which is really high in protein but she does not like the taste of. It would be interesting to do a profile on that stuff to see how to use it and the health benefits as it is a lot different than the yogurt we usually get from the store

      Hi Bill,
Great article idea, I will have a think about that one :)

  2. I am curious about your opinion on fat-free plain greek yogurt as well. That is my go-to yogurt because of the lower sugar content and higher protein content as compared with many other yogurts. Thanks!

      Hi Jennifer,
I love greek yogurt also, it is a good snack option, but I will try to get an article written in more detail soon.
